Throughout my 35 year career, I have worked with children ages 18 months to 18 years old in many capacities from daycare to high school.
I started my career as an ECE in 1989, teaching and designing curriculum was one of my primary responsibilities as was being a dedicated liaison who navigated through local children's services advocating for families.
My passion is working with children with exceptionalities, specifically ASD, to help them and their families become resilient, gain independence, and a growth mindset.
In 2011 I was honored to be the recipient of the “Council of Exceptional Children's Award”.
In the last 20 years, I returned to college to take the Autism and Behaviour Science program to gain more knowledge to be better equipped to work with the ASD community. I also obtained my Child and Youth Counselor Advanced Diploma, which has been instrumental in my work as a CYW/Behavioral Specialist with the Elementary School Board.
My education and experience has been a true benefit to working in the Child Welfare Sector over the last 15 years, supporting children/youth and their families.
My goal is to work collaboratively with you and your child/children to navigate through behavioral challenges, mental health crises, and program planning. I can assist by being a liaison between community resources and the educational system.
