Chante Pathak, BA
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) I Student Therapist
My name is Chante Pathak, and I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and am passionate about supporting children and teens as they navigate anxiety, emotional regulation, and life transitions.
With nearly 20 years of leadership and community involvement, much of my work has focused on supporting the well-being of children, youth, and families. As the Co-Founder and President of the Be a GEM Foundation, I have led community initiatives centered on resilience, access to resources, and meaningful community connection, which strongly inform my trauma-informed, strengths-based approach.
I draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), play-based and solution-focused interventions, and acceptance-based strategies, with a particular interest in anxiety treatment and the mind–body connection. I also volunteer with Kids Help Phone and strive to create a warm, safe space where young people feel heard, supported, and empowered to be themselves.
